Just Be You!

In college it’s hard to not feel as though who you are right now isn’t good enough. I think a lot of students go off to college with the belief that as soon as they step onto their college campus they’re going to be instantly transformed into the person that they were “meant” to be. But what’s wrong with who you are right now? The person you are at this moment is the exact same person that applied to and was accepted into college, so why should you change? As the old saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, why fix it?”
Too often we feel as though we aren’t good enough, aren’t smart enough, aren’t capable enough… but why? As many of you begin to plan your path onto adulthood and into college, don’t forget who you are. It’s your selling point. And the very reason why colleges will want you. Don’t feel tempted to change your personality or anything else about you because some college upperclassmen, or anyone for that matter, tried to make you feel inferior. Be strong. Be courageous. And most importantly, Be Yourself.
