Pursue Your Passion
I’m a believer in doing what you love and loving what you do. The only way to avoid being miserable in life is to feel passionately about something. I think it’s most people’s hope to pursue something that they are passionate about while in college. If this is the case, then why do some students feel empty? … Is it because they’re not following their hearts? Do they not understand themselves? Or are some confused? I personally don’t think it’s any of those reasons.
A lot of us may feel as though we are not fulfilling our passions in life. But I believe that the reason we feel this way is because we are afraid. Maybe the reason why so many college students “don’t know” what they want to do in life is because they’re afraid that if they go after what they’re truly passionate about, they’ll fail. I mean, who really wants to fail at something they love? No one.
Some may say that we only use 10% of our brains, but what if we’re only pursuing our dreams with 10% passion? If all of us pursued our dreams to our complete abilities, then I think many of us would be leading the lives we dreamed about as children.
As you begin your college endeavors, choose your path wisely. Don’t let others decide for you. And never pursue a career because you feel obligated to do so. If you create your own path, your own destiny, then you will truly be successful in life.
Mike Says:
I too believe in doing what you love. Best of luck in what you are doing, to help current and future college students.
